The Corona Virus Pandemic has caused a lot of stir in the world and has led to the suspension of rugby in Uganda. We hate to imagine the worst but if it did happen, who are the best players?

We are running polls and quizzes on social media and here is what the front-row looks like after 13 games.

1. Ssenteza Santos Wycliff

Not many have made positions their own like Santos has loosehead prop for 2019 Champions Heathens. With the departure of Asuman Mugerwa to Kenya, Santos has become the go-to Prop for Heathens and has delivered. He has been a regular fixture for the Kyadondo side.

He is a heavy ball carrier, reliable scrummager, and silent workhorse. His substitute would be Black Pirates big boy, Ivan Kabagambe. Yeah, we know Brian Odongo is on the comeback trail and we would like to send greetings.

2. Alex Mubiru

The ever-green superman Alex Mubiru looks to have shed a few years off his back. Making his debut in the 2000s, it is amazing how Alex is still going at this time. With Kanyanya yet to complete his studies, Alex has more playing time and couldn’ be happier.

There are few throwers of the ball in Uganda like Alex Mubiru. He brings a lot of appearances and experience to the Heathens team and this team we are choosing. A leader from the front. His immediate substitute is Betway Kobs engine Faraji Odugo.

3. Edgar Pajob

After moonlighting through the greater part of the 2018-2019 season, there is a breath of super performance in the happy boy that is Edgar Pajob. He is becoming for Pirates, what Santos is for Heathens. A big ball carrier, defenders bully and a tackler’s nightmare. Oh, he scores tries too. He has been a bruiser for Pirates at the top of their scrum. Did you know that he is a “queen dancer” when he is not bullying Chiggas on the pitch?

As we wait on the ruby activities to resume, we will continue to look through the performances of our stars. And we will push to bring you the best performers.
