Kenya Rugby Union Technical Director, Paul Feeney will depart from his roles today, a statement from KRU reads.
Paul Feeney has left his role as Kenya Rugby Union Technical Director by mutual consent. Paul was working mainly with the men’s sevens squad, Shujaa as well as the other national squads
He was unveiled as part of the technical staff of Kenya Rugby Union in September 2019.
Feeney has guided the men’s 7s team (Shujaa) to 2019 Rugby Africa Men’s Sevens in Johannesburg, South Africa, which guaranteed them a place at the 2021 Olympics, on top of winning the Safari 7s with Kenya Morans late last year.
The Kiwi has been away from Kenya, back home in New Zealand with family owing to the novel coronavirus world pandemic.
If the 2019-2020 HSBC World Series is to see completion, Shujaa will be doing it without the former Stormers (South Africa) and Blues (New Zealand Coach).
