Following the suspension of the Nile Stout Premiership, the happier of them all seems to be Betway Kobs utility back Adrian Kasito.

After a directive from the president, rugby was one of the sports in the nation that was temporarily halted in a bid to fight the spread of the Corona Virus pandemic in the country. Uganda is still without a recorded case but like we all know, prevention is better than cure.

Adrian Kasito has been out of rugby action for Uganda and his local side Kobs side since Day 2 of the 7s Challenger Series first event in Vina Del Mer, on Central Chile’s Pacific coast in mid-February, and was also passed not fit enough for what would have been Kobs return leg fixture against the Bweyogerere based Black Pirates.

Adrian Kasito missed Kobs’s first-ever visit to Kings Park in December 2018.

“I was worried I would not be involved in my team’s final stage charge towards the title but with the shutdown, I should be back,” said Betway’s 2018 Rugby player of the year Adrian Kasito.

The sprinter also took to Twitter to express his joy in the extended time he is going to have to get fit.

According to a statement from the sports governing body, URU said the sport will not be actively involved for 32 days with immediate effect.

Kobs were in line to travel to Bweyogerere to face Black Pirates this Saturday and would have been without the services of Adrian Kasito.
