The Uganda Ruby Union, in a meeting with stakeholders, has come to a conclusion to end the 2019-2020 rugby season.
Hima Cement Heathens, according to the conclusion, have successfully defended their crown, give that they were top of the table at the time the league was paused.
The league was paused in March, after government prononced lockdwon on the entire country, as a measure to control the spread of the coronavirus.
Heathens, like the 9 other teams, had played 13 games but were the only unbeaten side.
Because there won’t be any regional qualifiers held, there will be no pormotion of relegation exercises. This decision saves Rimula Rhinos’ blushes who were bottom of the premiership by the lockdown.
Tentatively, the 2021 premiership will start on 23rd January.
